We love the spooky sights and sounds (and tastes) of Halloween at River Valley Co-op! We're also wild about local pumpkins, so what better way to celebrate the season than with a Virtual Pumpkin Carving Contest? It's open to everyone of all ages! First, purchase a pumpkin of your own. Next, carve a fun design! Finally, upload a photo of it to Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #WildAboutLocalPumpkins or email it to us here by the end of the day on October 31st for a chance to win some great prizes!

Contest Rules and How to Enter

First, find the perfect canvas.
The co-op has plenty of great local pumpkins grown by our local farms. Pick any size, shape, or color your heart desires!

Carve and light up your pumpkin.
Any spooky, silly or unique design will do... be creative and have fun with it, but please keep it rated PG! You can light your pumpkin any way you want... just be careful with the little ones if using a candle!

Snap a fun photo!
Atmosphere is everything! Set the scene for your pumpkin and give it some personality. You can also pose with your pumpkin while wearing your own Halloween costume, or set it next to your other seasonal decorations!

Then, enter the contest.
To officially submit a photo for our Virtual Pumpkin Carving Contest, please share it to Instagram or Facebook with the hashtag #WildAboutLocalPumpkins, or email it directly to our team at marketing@rivervalley.coop by 11/1/2023. Winners will be selected by staff and notified via Facebook, Instagram, or email based on whichever was used for the submission. If a winner does not respond within 48 hours, a new winner will be chosen. Please note that by entering you are consenting to your photo being shared on River Valley Co-op's social media accounts, website and/or other promotional materials.
