Time to fill out your bracket! Our first Cheese Madness match-up tips off on March 7.
What is Cheese Madness? Only the fiercest fromage face-off this co-op has ever seen! From March 7th - 29th, 16 cheeses will go head-to-head on Saturdays & Sundays to earn your votes, but only one will be crowned the winner.
Enter to win by filling out the Cheese Madness bracket above for a chance to win a pound of the winning "cheese champ" cheese + a basket of accompaniments valued at $50+. Fill out and enter your bracket by March 6 at 10 PM at Customer Service, the Cheese Shop, or email it to info@rivervalley.coop.

What to Expect
This year, experience 16 different cheeses and vote on your favorites! Stop by the co-op from 12 – 2 pm on Saturdays and Sundays starting March 7th to taste and vote on your favorite cheeses. It all takes place in the Cheese Department; you will be offered a ballot and a chance to taste these amazing cheeses!
Each tasting will reveal a winning cheese, which will be announced on Facebook, Instagram, and in-store. Entries with the closest matching brackets will continue to the next round until a winning cheese is selected. If more than one perfect bracket is submitted in the end, a winner will be chosen in a random drawing of those entries.
How to Play
Step 1:
Cheese Madness brackets will be available to fill out and submit online and in our Cheese Shop through March 6th. Players are asked to review the 16 cheeses and guess which one in each of the brackets will be the most popular among co-op shoppers during our cheese tastings in March. Entrants will continue choosing winners for each match-up, progressing through each round (toward the center bracket) until they guess the cheese champ.
No purchase necessary to enter. All bracket boxes must contain a predicted winner from each match-up in order to qualify.
Step 2:
All entries must be completed and entered in the ballot box in the Cheese department or Customer Service (or click here to enter by email) by 10:00 pm on March 6th, 2026, to be eligible to win.
Step 3:
Please stop by the Cheese department throughout March from noon to 2:00 pm to sample that weekend’s entries in our Cheese Madness tournament. Try each cheese and vote for the one you like best!
Step 4:
Follow along in-store and on our social media as the contest progresses and see if your bracket matches up with shopper favorites!
The winner of the winning pound of cheese + a basket of accompaniments will be announced by March 31, 2026.
