March Change for Change: Therapeutic Equestrian Center

The Therapeutic Equestrian Center (Holyoke, MA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing physical, learning and recreational opportunities through horseback riding lessons to special needs children and adults. These classes are designed to enhance their physical, emotional and social well-being. With almost 200 riders per year using their therapy program, the riders develop strength, flexibility and confidence while on horseback.

Among the disabilities addressed at TEC are psychological disorders including attention deficit disorder, hyperactivity disorder, ADHD, and Autism-spectrum disorders including Asperger's Syndrome, Developmental Delay Syndrome and
more.
