Join us at our Easthampton location this summer for FREE family-friendly programs led by Mariah Freemole, a local nature preschool educator, and mindfulness and meditation teacher. 

These programs are designed for kids, but everyone in the family is welcome to attend! No registration required. See the full list of dates and classes below.

Mariah Freemole has been a teacher of young children the past 19 years. She particularly enjoys teaching them ways to regulate themselves, including mindfulness, yoga, singing and being outside. Mariah is certified as a Deep Play for Kids instructor and a Forest Kindergarten teacher. She currently teaches at Mass Audubon’s Arcadia Nature Preschool.

 

July 3Playdough, Please!

Plenty of playdough will be here waiting for you! You will also have the choice of adding various ingredients to change its color and texture.
 

July 10 • Let's Make a Habitat

We will make a home with clay and found natural objects, and will also create critters to live in the habitat.

July 17Patterns are Everywhere

We will use various printing techniques and an assortment of objects to explore symmetry and patterns that are all around us.
 

July 24 • Wild Weavings

It’s fun to weave with a variety of materials! You decide what you’d like to incorporate into your weaving. You can also use the materials to create a collage.

July 31Leaf Mobile

Come paint leaves and create a beautiful mobile. We might also experiment with other objects for our mobiles!
 

August 7 • Ready. Set. Stamp.

We will make stamps with cardboard, wood blocks and foam shapes. What will you create with your stamps? The sky is the limit. Join the fun!

August 14Brilliant Birds and Friends

We will make puppets with different materials. Learn how to make a bird puppet, and others!
 

August 21 • Paint with Mud!

All you need is water and soil to make paint for this project. We will have soil of various colors for you to use. Come and enjoy a morning of painting with mud!

August 28Watercolor Magic

Watercolor is irresistible! We will combine watercolor with other materials to create texture and different designs.
