Join us at our Easthampton location on Thursdays (9 - 10 am) in July & August for a FREE family-friendly program led by Mariah Freemole, a local nature preschool educator, and mindfulness and meditation teacher. 

These workshops are designed for kids, but everyone in the family is welcome to attend! No registration required. See the full list of dates and classes below.

Mariah Freemole has been a teacher of young children the past 20 years. She particularly enjoys teaching them ways to regulate themselves, including mindfulness, yoga, singing and being outside. Mariah is certified as a Deep Play for Kids instructor and a Forest Kindergarten teacher. She currently teaches at Mass Audubon’s Arcadia Nature Preschool.

July 2 • Your Story

Choose an inspiration for your story, and tell your story with textures and colors.
 

July 9 • Say it with Potatoes

Plants are amazing! We will use plants, including potatoes, to make prints. We will also search for colors in leaves, flowers, and fruits and explore ways to paint with nature.
 

July 16 • Tiny Houses

We will make homes and habitats with clay and found natural objects. Who will live in your tiny house?
 

July 23 • Our Feathered, Furry and Scaly Friends

Do you have a favorite animal? Join the fun and create your favorite animal.
 

July 30 • Faces Two Ways

We will use an assortment of materials and collage faces.
 

August 6 • Wearable Art

We will make pendants and other wearable art.
 

August 13 • Look Up

What do you see? We will construct a mobile or a lantern.
 

August 20 • Paint with Mud!

Come and enjoy a morning of painting with mud! We will use several different color soil.
 

August 21 • Paint with Mud!

All you need is water and soil to make paint for this project. We will have soil of various colors for you to use. Come and enjoy a morning of painting with mud!

August 27 • Tea Party

We will use dried herbs to make tea bags, Make a gift for someone or enjoy tea at home with your family.
