In this workshop, Dr. Jennifer Sowards will provide participants with an overview of the anatomy of the hearing mechanism and real-world strategies that folks with hearing loss can implement to help them stay connected with and without hearing devices, as well as how to navigate noisy events. She will then be available to answer your questions following the presentation.

ABOUT DR. JENNIFER SOWARDS

Diagnosed with hearing loss at the age of six, Dr. Sowards has made it her life's work to support and guide her patients through their hearing health journey. For more than 15 years she's paired compassion with technology to empower patients to reconnect with their world. Several decades of using hearing devices has allowed her to personally experience the technological advancements that can help improve patients' lives. In her private practice, Dr. Sowards is excited to be able to share her personal experience combined with her clinical knowledge with patients to provide them with complete hearing health care.

Dr. Sowards is the founder and owner of Florence Hearing Health Care. She is a Fellow of both the American Academy of Audiology and the Academy of Doctors of Audiology. Dr. Sowards also holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-A) from the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association. She lives in Florence with her family and enjoys biking, hiking, and birdwatching.
