The human gut is home to trillions of microorganisms that play a critical role in digestion, immune function, and nutrient synthesis. This presentation explores the dynamic relationship between diet and the gut microbiome, highlighting how specific nutrients—including vitamins, minerals, fiber, complex carbohydrates, and polyphenols—can support beneficial microbes and influence microbial diversity.

We’ll examine how certain gut bacteria synthesize essential nutrients, and how dietary choices can enhance or disrupt these processes. The session also addresses functional digestive issues, such as bloating, motility changes, and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), and how these conditions can alter microbial balance.

Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how to use nutrition strategically to support gut health, reduce microbial imbalances, and improve overall well-being.
