In this introductory workshop, join clinical herbalist and herb farmer Alanna Birch to learn the basics of cultivating medicinal plants for the home garden and apothecary!

Alanna will take you through the fundamentals of site selection, soil health, seeds, starts, care and maintenance, while presenting an accessible overview on topics to consider for optimal plant health.
 

You will learn a small but mighty materia medica of beautiful, delicious and potently medicinal herbs to use fresh from the garden, along with tips and tricks for harvesting and preserving your medicine to enjoy beyond the bright days of summer.  

Whether you are brand new to growing herbs starting with a few pots outside, or you have a full scale home garden and want to learn more about how to incorporate, identify and use medicinal plants, all levels of experience are welcome. There will be time for Q&A so bring your burning questions!
