She will cover all the basics of keeping poultry for eggs, including:

Kirby Lecy is a small farmer and chicken wrangler with 15+ years of working on food access, farming advocacy, and rural challenges. She is the owner of J&K’s Good Thyme Farm in Ashburnham MA which produces vegetables, herbs, eggs, poultry, pork and plants. Kirby’s love of farming and the earth was cultivated at a young age but took its roots in college when she embarked on a journey to eat nothing but local food for an entire year. Through this journey, she lent a hand on many pieces of land, learned about an amazing subculture of community support, and developed a thirst for providing for the community and earth in a more sustainable way.

Fast-forward 15 years... a long-sleeping dream was born, and a small-scale operation was realized.

J&K's Good Thyme Farm was created in the spring of 2016 after a decade-long dream of Farmer Kirby's. A dream that came to life through the unconditional support and love of an amazing life partner (Farmer Joey), parents who get their hands dirty, and the support of a large network of friends. During the day you can find Kirby working for the MDPH State Office of Rural Health.
