Co-op Artisan Fair

Everyone is invited to River Valley Co-op’s Artisan Fair on Saturday, June 27th outdoors on the patio from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at River Valley Co-op’s Easthampton store. Come browse original handmade artwork and wares created by local artisans, and enjoy live music from Blackbird & Danzige. during this fun family-friendly event outdoors on the patio in Easthampton at 228 Northampton Street.
The Artisan Fair is hosting artisans from Amherst, Easthampton, Greenfield, Hadley, Holyoke, Northampton, Leverett, Ludlow, Southampton, and Templeton. Functional stoneware and ceramics, jewelry, art prints, glass sculptures, note cards, calendars with cycles of the moon & seasons, herbs & fungi, women’s health, spirituality; original woodcuts and drypoint engravings, hand-carved spoons and other kitchen tools from locally sourced cherry and maple wood, colorful expressionistic paintings, handprinted clothes featuring blockprinted flora and fauna, photos of New England birds, handmade journals, wind chimes crafted from glass and driftwood, crocheted plushies, snugglers, sweaters and blankets; handmade artisan quilts, handmade cold processed goat milk soap, and reusable handbags crafted from goats feed bags—will all be for sale. Be sure to stop by ‘Poetry on the Spot’ for a poem written just for you - in five minutes or less.
The River Valley Co-op Artisan Fair is a one-day event that showcases a wide range of artwork and crafts created by local artisans. It is a fun, family-friendly event that is diverse, inclusive, accessible for all, and showcases a range of voices and perspectives to celebrate the fantastic artists and makers who make our community and region so special. The event is free to attend and open to everyone in the community.

Ash from Ash & Clay, crafts small-batch, functional pottery with an emphasis on simple forms, hand-drawn lines, and muted colors. Mostly wheel-thrown, sometimes hand-built. Each piece is handmade, unique, and a little imperfect, just like us.
Ben Becker began working with glass in 2018 in Boston. His recent work consists of marine life utilizing UV reactive glass to create glowing underwater imagery through sculptural and hollow vessel creations. He finds ultraviolet reactive glass to be the perfect material to mimic bioluminescent life from deep in our oceans and is drawn to the relationship of light and glass.
Cason Crochet specializes in handmade plushies and snugglers – including book buddies – with soft cuddly yarn and hand-embroidered eyes, as well as home décor, from hanging plants to flowers.

Hoop & Bee is a modern quilting studio in Easthampton, MA, offering quilted greeting cards, handmade artisan quilts, and small-scale textile artistic works.
Jasmine Rose is a studio ceramic artist in Northampton. Her pottery is influenced by the local landscape, its plants, animals, mountains, and rivers. Her work on the wheel brings an imaginative element to utility.
Joe Oliverio is an Amherst based photographer specializing in New England bird species. Joe's portfolio represents instances where bird, light & habitat converged into special captures.

Kate Marion Lapierre creates colorful expressionistic paintings using acrylic and watercolor/ink on canvas, paper, or wood. She's been an illustrator, art educator, and art therapist and enjoys showing her work locally and internationally.
I make crocheted items. I make sweaters, hats, blankets and stuffed animals. I also recently started making stress balls. I make small or large plushies. Rectangular or star shaped blankets. Pokemon plushies, animals or objects. Acrylic yarn or polyester.

I began making windchimes about 14 years ago from some broken pieces of glass. Since that beginning, I have added many shapes and colors. I string the processed pieces on driftwood gathered from many coasts.

I create cyanotypes from family photos & in-camera double-exposure images, and lumen prints & botanical cyanotypes from pressed flowers, leaves, and vintage lace. I finish each piece with illustration, gilding, painting, or embroidery.

I make bead crochet bracelets and necklaces with a focus on pride colors and snake patterns. Each piece is made using all-natural materials including cotton, glass, metal and stone.
Rachel Yox (she/her) creates playful, functional ceramic works that explore themes of nature, fantasy, and self-expression. Each of her pieces invites users to integrate works of art into their daily lives.
I work with sterling silver, 14k gold fill, pearls, crystals and semi - precious stones. My baskets are made from the rattan plant. I use different dyes, many being from nuts and plants. Like every performance, each piece takes a shape of its own.
Test Print Pottery is the work of Barb Chalfonte, a print-maker and potter who loves carving rustic-styled images of nature. They decorate ceramic surfaces with sgraffito (Italian for “scratched”) and craft lino and wood blocks.
