Co-op Artisan Fair

Everyone is invited to River Valley Co-op’s Artisan Fair on Saturday, June 27th outdoors on the patio from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at River Valley Co-op’s Easthampton store. Come browse original handmade artwork and wares created by local artisans, and enjoy live music from Blackbird & Danzige. during this fun family-friendly event outdoors on the patio in Easthampton at 228 Northampton Street.

The Artisan Fair is hosting artisans from Amherst, Easthampton, Greenfield, Hadley, Holyoke, Northampton, Leverett, Ludlow, Southampton, and Templeton. Functional stoneware and ceramics, jewelry, art prints, glass sculptures, note cards, calendars with cycles of the moon & seasons, herbs & fungi, women’s health, spirituality; original woodcuts and drypoint engravings, hand-carved spoons and other kitchen tools from locally sourced cherry and maple wood, colorful expressionistic paintings, handprinted clothes featuring blockprinted flora and fauna, photos of New England birds, handmade journals, wind chimes crafted from glass and driftwood, crocheted plushies, snugglers, sweaters and blankets; handmade artisan quilts, handmade cold processed goat milk soap, and reusable handbags crafted from goats feed bags—will all be for sale. Be sure to stop by ‘Poetry on the Spot’ for a poem written just for you - in five minutes or less.

The River Valley Co-op Artisan Fair is a one-day event that showcases a wide range of artwork and crafts created by local artisans. It is a fun, family-friendly event that is diverse, inclusive, accessible for all, and showcases a range of voices and perspectives to celebrate the fantastic artists and makers who make our community and region so special. The event is free to attend and open to everyone in the community.

BB Glass
Glass Sculptures

Ben Becker began working with glass in 2018 in Boston. His recent work consists of marine life utilizing UV reactive glass to create glowing underwater imagery through sculptural and hollow vessel creations. He finds ultraviolet reactive glass to be the perfect material to mimic bioluminescent life from deep in our oceans and is drawn to the relationship of light and glass.
