ABOUT EZRA WOOL

Founder of From The Source Fungi, Ezra Wool has been deepening his relationship with the fungal Queendom over the last 6 years. HE enjoys working with fungi in a number of ways, including foraging, cooking, medicine-making, cultivating, and communing.

After running a business in mushroom production for two years, Ezra decided to switch gears a bit, and now focuses his time on sharing the world of fungi with others, through education. He has experience cultivating fungi in a number of different ways. From cardboard cultures of wild specimens and growing on spent ‘waste’ streams (like coffee grounds), to working in a laboratory setting with flow hoods, scalpels, and sterilizers, Ezra has a wide range of cultivation experiences.

Of all fungal related subjects to teach, Ezra gets super excited about developing and sharing ways of cultivation that are easy to do, require minimal materials and costs, and have high rates of success. He believes everyone who wants to ought to grow their own mushrooms, and build a life-long relationship with them along the way.

Though he considers himself an educator in the field, EZRA is a full time student of the fungi themselves. Outside of the fungal realm, he is a musician, a beekeeper, a carpenter, a wilderness mentor, and a proud cat papa.
