Here's how it works...

Each time you shop at River Valley Co-op, a friendly co-op cashier will ask if you'd like to donate to Change for Change. This rounds your bill to the nearest dollar, with all of the change going to one organization in our community each month.

September Change for Change: Hilltown Land Trust

Hilltown Land Trust works to conserve ecologically important wildlands, economically and culturally important working lands, and the scenic beauty and rural character of the Hilltowns. They have conserved over 5,000 acres of land, including hiking trails and other public access properties, in addition to land for wildlife habitat, climate resilience, and so much more. They also provide public education and recreation opportunities at very low or no cost to connect people with the natural world.

August Change for Change: Will Bike 4 Food

Will Bike 4 Food (WB4F) is an annual charity cycling event held by The Food Bank of Western MA to raise funds and awareness about the issue of local hunger. This year’s event will once again be held live and in-person, crucially helping food insecure individuals and families during their time of need.

July Change for Change: River Valley Co-op Low Income Owner Assistance Fund

The River Valley Co-op Low Income Owner Assistance Program gives everyone, regardless of income, an opportunity to become an owner of River Valley Co-op along with all the great benefits ownership brings! This program is for local residents who are committed to supporting our co-op by becoming co-op owners, but who might not otherwise be able to afford to join.
